Fanvil V66 Pro: touch, video preview and platform-document boundaries

Evaluate the V66 Pro while keeping its touch interface, BTH60 handset, receive-side video, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, platform-document conflict, firmware and call service exact.

Fanvil · Fanvil maintained a current product page, a datasheet listing dated September 2, 2026 and a firmware listing through version 2.12.20.74 dated August 18, 2026 at review. The Security Center listed a support period through December 31, 2026. Two official datasheet files conflict on Android versus Linux wording, so the exact shipped platform and application model require device and document-revision evidence.

Unlisted fields remain unverified. Platform compatibility and remaining support life require confirmation for the exact ordered model.

Stop at the official Android-versus-Linux conflict

Two Fanvil-hosted V66 Pro datasheet files reviewed for this page disagree on the platform: one says Android OS and the other says Linux. The product page and document-centre dates do not resolve which wording applies to every region, hardware revision or firmware train. Record the exact order code, hardware revision, running firmware, system information and document revision before making a platform-dependent decision.

Do not promise Android applications, app-store access, package installation or permissions from the conflicted wording. Treat any application capability as unverified until the exact device and current manufacturer documentation agree and the organization approves the software and data access.

Keep received video separate from camera and session outcome

The official sheets describe H.264 video decoding and receiving or preview. They do not establish an integrated camera, video origination, PBX entitlement, far-end support, negotiated resolution, recording state or privacy outcome. Capture both SDP bodies, selected codec and resolution, packet evidence and what each participant actually saw during an authorized test.

Define whether received video is allowed, who may invoke it, what audio-only fallback should do and whether any upstream system records media. A seven-inch screen showing a preview is narrower evidence than a completed, policy-compliant video session.

Separate SIP identities, virtual keys and conference size

Fanvil documents 20 SIP lines, up to 116 virtual DSS positions and six-way audio conference. These figures describe different controls and capacities. They do not establish simultaneous carrier calls, queue staffing, monitored-user count, PBX subscriptions or transfer success.

Map every virtual key page, label, target and state to an account and PBX feature. Pilot directory lookup, BLF, answer, hold, attended and blind transfer, park, pickup, voicemail and failure recovery with the intended user rather than judging the workflow by the number of available tiles.

Treat touch, handset and material claims as separate evidence

The product page describes a rotatable touch screen, programmable Bluetooth handset and antimicrobial materials. Those descriptions do not prove usability for a particular operator, battery duty cycle, infection-control outcome or environmental cleaning compatibility. Preserve the manufacturer wording without converting it into a field-validated claim.

Inventory the BTH60, charger and phone together. Test touch targets, handset pairing and locate behavior, charging, physical controls and approved cleaning procedure with the actual deployment. The handset remains an accessory to the phone rather than another SIP identity.

Prove wired, wireless, power and protected state independently

Dual Gigabit Ethernet, PoE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, TLS and SRTP are published capabilities. They do not prove radio coverage, roaming, switch budget, headset compatibility, certificate trust, signaling transport or negotiated media protection. Test wired and approved wireless paths separately with the exact accessory set attached.

Record VLAN, addressing, DNS, time, authentication, provisioning URL, trust anchor and management exposure. Capture negotiated signaling and media state from an authorized call, protect diagnostics and remove temporary packet captures when the investigation ends.

Accept the exact V66 Pro without filling evidence gaps

Run an authorized acceptance covering boot, provisioning, registration, inbound and outbound identity, two-way audio, received-video offer and fallback, mute, hold, transfer, voicemail, virtual DSS controls, BTH60 pairing and charging, approved headset, restart, wired or wireless recovery and power recovery. Validate emergency location and calling only through the provider-approved process.

No V66 Pro, regional package, operating system, application, BTH60 handset, battery, display, video session, radio, network, accessory, firmware, account, PBX, protected session, emergency route, material-performance claim, availability, compatibility, price, audio result or live call was inspected or tested for this reference.
