Unlisted fields remain unverified. Platform compatibility and remaining support life require confirmation for the exact ordered model.

Order the base or DBW variant deliberately

The live product page describes optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, then assigns integrated Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi to part numbers carrying the DBW suffix. It also says those radios are supported only in specified regions. Record the full regional part number before planning wireless deployment; a C470HD label alone is insufficient.

Verify the actual package, power source, handset, cable and any headset separately. Do not infer a radio from a menu, product photo or neighboring model, and do not enable a radio until regional, security and spectrum policy permits it.

Separate certification from the running software bundle

Microsoft's live table listed the C470HD with Android 12, certification firmware 2.1.87 and an August 15, 2028 certification end date. Its firmware history separately listed 2.7.565 (AOSP), released August 24, 2026, for the C430HD/C435HD/C436HD/C455HD/C470HD group. The certification reference and later public-cloud release answer different questions.

At acceptance, capture firmware, Android, Teams client, Intune, Authenticator and Admin Agent versions from the phone and management plane. Follow the approved release ring and current vendor guidance rather than forcing the certification-reference build or assuming support through 2028 without rechecking the live records.

Treat the touch surface as a managed Teams endpoint

AudioCodes documents a 5.5-inch 720 × 1280 portrait touch display and dedicated one-touch functions. Confirm that the intended personal, shared or common-area workflow exposes the required dial, directory, meeting, voicemail, transfer and sign-out actions under the tenant's policy. A feature named in the manual can depend on Microsoft application version and service configuration.

Evaluate readability, touch targets, prompts, handset and speaker behavior, hearing needs and training with intended users. The presence of a touch screen does not establish accessibility, task completion or suitability for a reception role.

Validate ports, power and media narrowly

The product and version 2.7 specifications document Gigabit Ethernet, PoE, a 12 V DC jack, USB headset support and several media codecs. Those are hardware and software capabilities, not proof that an accessory, switch port, codec or protected media path works in one deployment. Confirm switch power headroom, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, time and certificates on the installed path.

Test the approved headset through answer, mute, volume, hold and transfer. Preserve the effective call and network evidence rather than inferring negotiation from the codec list or assuming a 12 V connector means an adapter is included.

Give each management plane an owner

The documentation identifies Microsoft Teams admin center and AudioCodes management tooling as separate surfaces. Define which system owns enrollment, policy, inventory, configuration, logs, diagnostics and firmware. Differences between those views should be investigated instead of overwritten until they match.

Limit administrative access, protect exported logs and screen captures, and remove temporary diagnostic settings. A device shown online in a portal does not prove user sign-in, current policy, PSTN calling, two-way media or a successful update.

Pilot identity, calling and recovery end to end

For an authorized pilot, record the exact SKU and versions, then test cold boot, enrollment, sign-in, policy arrival, directory, inbound and outbound calling, caller identity, mute, hold, transfer, voicemail, speaker, handset, approved headset, update, restart and network or power recovery. Test Wi-Fi and Bluetooth only on the correct DBW variant and keep wired, wireless and accessory outcomes separate.

Preserve account type, licence, number, usage location, emergency location and provider-approved emergency validation without an uncoordinated live emergency call. No C470HD, regional SKU, tenant, account, licence, switch, WLAN, accessory, firmware, application bundle, management service, protected session, emergency route, availability, compatibility, price, audio result or live call was inspected or tested for this reference.
