Record the Pro variant and included handset exactly

The T88 family page groups T88W, T88W Pro and T88V Pro, but the models are not interchangeable. The T88W Pro package described by Yealink includes the BTH88 Bluetooth handset; record the complete regional order code, hardware revision, package contents and installed firmware before provisioning. Do not transfer the T88V Pro camera or another model's accessory bundle into this record.

A Bluetooth handset changes charging, pairing, roaming range, battery and failure-recovery work. It does not add another SIP account, carrier channel or independently reachable extension. Assign the handset, charger and phone to one inventory and loss-response process.

Separate Android, phone firmware and approved applications

The datasheet identifies Android 13, bundled applications and third-party Android application support. That capability does not approve an arbitrary APK, establish store access or prove that an installed application can use the microphone, camera, contacts, storage or calling account. Capture Android, phone firmware and every installed application as separate versioned records.

Define who may install, update and remove applications, which data each app may access and how the phone is reset for reassignment. Revalidate calling after any platform or application change; a working Android interface is narrower evidence than a registered, authorized and usable SIP service.

Map touch and DSS controls to the real workflow

Yealink documents 84 one-touch DSS assignments plus dedicated hold, transfer, message, headset, mute, redial and speakerphone keys. The number of assignable controls is not the number of simultaneous lines, monitored users, queue members or carrier channels. Each label and action still depends on account, PBX feature, subscription state and policy.

Pilot directory lookup, BLF, answer, hold, attended and blind transfer, park, pickup, voicemail and failure recovery with the intended user. Preserve page, key, target and observed call state instead of treating a programmed label as evidence that the destination or feature worked.

Budget power and validate every accessory path

The phone exposes dual Gigabit Ethernet, PoE Class 3, USB-A, USB-C, RJ-9 and optional expansion paths. Connector presence does not prove headset call control, sufficient switch power, USB current, expansion compatibility or a supported firmware combination. Inventory the exact supply, switch port, headset, module and cable.

Test handset, speaker, approved headset and expansion controls separately through answer, mute, volume, hold and transfer. Repeat after restart and an approved firmware change. A powered display or paired handset does not prove SIP registration, two-way audio or emergency readiness.

Verify protected state instead of listing security features

TLS 1.3, SRTP, certificate management, configuration-file encryption, 802.1X, WPA2/WPA3 and Secure Boot appear in the datasheet. These are capabilities with separate configuration and evidence. Capture the actual provisioning URL, trust anchor, signaling transport, negotiated media protection, network authentication and management exposure.

Do not describe Wi-Fi, HTTPS provisioning or a lock icon as end-to-end call protection. Restrict administration, rotate credentials, remove temporary packet captures and logs, and verify recovery when a certificate, password or network policy changes.

Accept the exact phone, handset and service together

Run an authorized acceptance covering cold boot, provisioning, registration, inbound and outbound identity, two-way audio, mute, hold, transfer, voicemail, DSS controls, BTH88 pairing and charging, approved headset, expansion module, restart and wired or wireless recovery. Validate emergency location and calling only through the provider-approved process and keep an independent emergency path.

No T88W Pro, regional package, BTH88 handset, battery, display, network, radio, accessory, application, firmware, account, PBX, protected session, emergency route, availability, compatibility, price, audio result or live call was inspected or tested for this reference.
