Freeze the market, number type and legal customer first
Toku’s carrier page describes APAC PSTN replacement and broad numbering resources, but its country pages apply different number types, reachability, portability, subscriber-location and registration rules. Record the legal customer, market, number category, intended use, service address, regulatory status and current eligibility result before selecting a trunk template.
For Singapore, geographic and Level 3 national VoIP numbers have different portability and subscriber-location boundaries. Toku’s Level 6 wholesale page also ties wholesale access to licence evidence. A regional portfolio claim is not number inventory, regulatory acceptance or an activated route.
Documented service facts
Reviewed 2026-10-14. Compare SIP trunk services →
SIP authentication
Not verifiedToku publishes carrier voice, PSTN replacement and Microsoft Teams connectivity, but the reviewed public pages do not define a universal customer-facing SIP authentication contract. They do not establish source-IP trust, digest credentials, mutual TLS, a portal-issued identity or how multiple methods interact. Preserve the selected order, interconnect design, signaling source, credential owner and one timestamped provider decision instead of inferring authentication from product availability.
SIP registration
Not verifiedThe reviewed public material does not publish one registrar, proxy, realm, expiry, transport or REGISTER requirement for Toku carrier voice. The Teams page identifies a separate Toku-to-Microsoft integration, not a generic PBX registration template. Use the issued implementation record and observed SIP exchange; do not copy a country-number page or Teams claim into a PBX configuration.
Inbound delivery and number format
DocumentedToku documents national, local and toll-free resources, bulk porting and country-specific reachability. Its Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia pages require E.164 presentation to Toku switching infrastructure and distinguish number types, inbound reachability and local caller-identity behavior. Those pages do not prove the selected DID, Request-URI, identity headers, assigned route or PBX match. Retain the exact number order and an authorized inbound trace.
Continuity and redundancy
Not verifiedToku describes redundant carrier infrastructure and a multi-server Teams service. The reviewed pages do not define customer trunk targets, DNS behavior, health checks, retry responses, routing priority, timers, established-call survival or restoration. Treat platform redundancy and a selected interconnect continuity design as separate evidence; qualify new-call failure and recovery only in a provider-approved window.
Numbers, markets and eligibility
DocumentedThe current carrier page says PSTN replacement is available in 17 countries and offers national, local and toll-free numbers plus bulk porting. Country pages narrow that statement: Singapore geographic numbers can be portable while Level 3 national VoIP numbers are not, and the reviewed Malaysia and Indonesia pages mark number portability unsupported. Inventory, subscriber location, licence, KYC and porting rules remain number- and market-specific.
Audio codecs and DTMF
DocumentedToku’s reviewed Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia number pages list G.711 and G.729 plus RFC 2833 DTMF, and mark SIP INFO DTMF unsupported. These are country-page capability statements, not evidence of a universal trunk profile or the codec, payload, packetization and digit result negotiated on one call. Preserve both SDP bodies, RTP payload mapping and decoded authorized-call evidence.
Fax and T.38
Not verifiedThe reviewed carrier, Teams and country-number pages do not establish fax passthrough, T.38, switchover, ECM, page limits or gateway interoperability for the selected voice service. Confirm any ordered fax workflow separately and retain signaling, UDPTL or audio evidence plus the received document result; ordinary voice capability is not a fax acceptance test.
Signaling and media protection
Not verifiedToku’s carrier page says its connections offer a variety of encryption methods, while the Teams page says signaling and media encryption is enforced between that environment and the client. Neither page defines the transport, certificate trust, cipher profile, SRTP keying, optionality or every hop for a generic carrier-voice trunk. Bind any protection claim to the selected service, negotiated session and complete path.
Concurrent calls and mass calling
DocumentedToku advertises high channel leasing, bundled and channel-based capacity plus peak or mass-calling management. The Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia pages say per-DID concurrency is limited by purchased channel capacity and shared across the assigned numbers in that country. Those statements do not establish the account entitlement, calls-per-second limit, burst handling or a measured load result.
Emergency calling
DocumentedToku’s Singapore page says emergency calling applies to geographic numbers, is enabled during service activation, requires the caller to state exact location and must not be test-called because fines can apply. Its broader carrier page limits portability and emergency services to certain markets. Do not project Singapore behavior onto another market; confirm each number type, enablement, location handling, capacity and provider-approved validation method without an uncoordinated emergency call.
Pricing and commercial terms
Not verifiedThe reviewed public pages do not provide a complete current carrier-voice price for one account. Capacity, numbers, portability, international termination, regulatory work, support, taxes and term can vary by market and order. Use a dated signed quote and usage schedule rather than converting general cost-efficiency or pay-for-use language into a price.
Administration and support
DocumentedToku publishes a 24/7 APAC network operations centre, regional engineering support, a Voice Connectivity help centre and a web administration interface for its Teams service. Those statements do not prove the selected support tier, administrator permissions, escalation target, maintenance notice or restoration result. Preserve the order, named owners, current contacts and timestamped support evidence.
SMS and MMS
Not verifiedToku markets carrier SMS separately, while its reviewed Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia number pages mark SMS origination and termination unsupported for those voice-number profiles. Do not treat the messaging portfolio as SMS or MMS entitlement on a selected trunk DID. Qualify number eligibility, sender registration, API method, throughput, compliance and price as a separate order.
Obtain the issued interconnect design
The reviewed public pages do not specify one generic registrar, proxy, source-IP trust rule, digest identity, realm, transport or certificate profile for carrier voice. Preserve the provider-issued design, signaling targets and sources, PBX or SBC object, credential owner, certificate trust and rollback contact.
The Microsoft Teams service is a distinct integration. Its encryption and availability statements do not define a generic PBX trunk. A loaded configuration, reachable target, REGISTER result or OPTIONS response remains separate from inbound acceptance, outbound authorization and a completed call.
Trace one number through E.164 delivery and PBX routing
The reviewed Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia pages require calls presented to Toku in E.164 format and describe country-specific reachability and caller-identity behavior. Preserve the ordered or ported number, activation state, provider route, Request-URI, From, asserted identity, diversion history and first matching PBX rule.
Do not infer the selected DID or final destination from the country catalogue. Porting eligibility, subscriber registration and service activation remain separate from an observed inbound or outbound route.
Qualify media from the selected country profile
Toku’s reviewed country pages list G.711, G.729 and RFC 2833 DTMF while marking SIP INFO unsupported. Treat those as published capability boundaries, not the negotiation result for every account or call.
For an authorized non-emergency call, retain both SDP bodies, connection addresses, ports, payload mappings, RTP directions, DTMF events and decoded audio. The reviewed public pages do not establish T.38, fax passthrough or a universal encryption profile, so qualify fax and protected media separately.
Turn channel language into an account limit
Toku advertises channel leasing, bundled capacity and peak or mass-calling management. The country pages say concurrency is limited by purchased capacity and shared across the assigned numbers in that country. Preserve the signed channel entitlement, country pool, call-start controls, routing limits, access capacity and PBX ceiling.
A catalogue statement is not a load result. Use an approved test plan to distinguish concurrent calls, attempted starts, provider rejections, PBX saturation and media quality without assuming that a DID has unlimited usable capacity.
Keep continuity, support and emergency acceptance separate
Toku describes redundant infrastructure and 24/7 NOC support, but does not publish one customer-trunk failover contract in the reviewed material. Record the selected targets, health decision, retry behavior, dependencies, alternate capacity, support tier and restoration evidence before making a continuity claim.
Emergency behavior is market-specific. Toku’s Singapore page limits support to geographic numbers, says enablement occurs during activation and prohibits emergency test calls. Confirm every number and location workflow through a provider-approved method, maintain user instructions and an independent calling path, and never place an uncoordinated emergency call.
