Unlisted fields remain unverified. Platform compatibility and remaining support life require confirmation for the exact ordered model.
Keep the host and application as the call owner
WH64 Hybrid is a host-connected audio and control device, not a standalone SIP endpoint. The computer or mobile device owns the account, signaling, contacts, network and emergency-calling behavior. Record the exact host, operating system, application build, selected microphone and speaker, account and approved wireless path. Pairing, a music stream or a visible call button does not prove two-way speech, DTMF, mute synchronization, hold, transfer or answer and end behavior.
The product page shows Teams certification and UC variants. Preserve that exact variant and still test every required workflow in the intended application. A platform badge does not establish universal behavior in another meeting service, browser, softphone or PBX client.
Preserve the exact variant, dongle and accessories
The exact-model brochure lists Dual and Mono wearing styles, Teams and UC variants and options with or without a charging stand. Record the full order code, radio region, carton contents, dongle identity, stand and charging cable before deployment. Do not infer that an optional stand or WDD60 shown on the product page is included in every package.
DECT through the supplied or approved dongle and native Bluetooth are separate radio, driver, pairing, firmware, call-control and recovery paths. Prove each allowed path after cold start, host restart, sleep and wake, application update, dongle removal and Bluetooth disablement. A successful Bluetooth path does not validate DECT, and the reverse is equally true.
Control multipoint, remembered hosts and reassignment
Yealink publishes storage for as many as eight paired devices and two simultaneous connections, one DECT and one Bluetooth. Eight remembered hosts are not eight active call paths. Define which connected device wins when notifications, media or calls arrive together, and test that behavior rather than assuming two business calls can be mixed, held or controlled correctly.
Inventory and clear old Bluetooth associations before reassignment. Decide who may pair a personal phone, who owns dongle and headset firmware, and whether local Yealink USB Connect or the Yealink Device Management Platform is authorized. Cloud or fleet management adds tenant, administrator, inventory, network, diagnostic-data, update and offboarding responsibilities; a listed platform does not prove that this exact device is enrolled or governed.
Treat battery, range and acoustic language as conditional
The brochure separates DECT and Bluetooth battery modes: up to 16 hours talk or music in DECT, and up to 32 hours talk or 48 hours listening in Bluetooth. It also lists 195 hours standby and 1.5 hours charging. Record the approved mode, call-control workload, charging routine and battery age when measuring a real shift. Do not apply the 48-hour listening figure to DECT calling.
Published ranges of up to 150 m DECT and 50 m Bluetooth do not establish wall penetration, roaming continuity or immunity to local interference. Three-microphone, Acoustic Shield 2.0 and comfort language are manufacturer claims. Test the actual movement path, nearby talkers, remote intelligibility, sidetone, mute indication, busylight visibility, maximum-volume policy and long-shift fit with the intended user.
Accept the exact workflow and retain a recovery path
Pilot incoming and outgoing calls with a remote listener. Verify answer, reject, end, mute from both headset and application, hold, resume, DTMF if required, device switching, simultaneous notifications, dongle and Bluetooth reconnection, host sleep and wake, low battery and charging during a call. Repeat after any approved firmware or application update and preserve the rollback or alternate approved audio path.
Record user fit and accessibility, cleaning, storage, replacement, privacy and offboarding outcomes separately from call-control results. No headset, host, dongle, radio, application, platform certification, management service, battery endurance, range, firmware, audio quality, accessory, availability, price, emergency route or live-call behavior was tested for this guide.
Keep WH64 DECT and Bluetooth evidence separate
The business wireless headset category treats the WDD60 DECT path and mobile Bluetooth path as different topologies. Use the control diagnostic to distinguish boom or button state from host and application state.
