Documented specifications
Snom · Snom listed M30 on its current support hub at review. Exact regional availability, ordered revision, approved base and firmware combination, certified PBX interoperability, replacement-battery supply, warranty entitlement and remaining support period were not established.

Unlisted fields remain unverified. Platform compatibility and remaining support life require confirmation for the exact ordered model.
Attach the handset to the exact base system
M30 is a DECT handset rather than a standalone Wi-Fi or cellular phone. Record the regional handset, IPEI or managed identifier, selected M400 or M900 system, base hardware and firmware, PBX or service, assigned extension and provisioning owner. Do not carry a result from an M700, M400 or M900 deployment into another topology without verifying lifecycle and compatibility.
For M400, keep the handset one-account and two-call limits separate from the base system handset and narrowband or wideband call totals. The M400 reference maps those capacity scopes. A handset registered to a base does not establish SIP registration, inbound identity, media or roaming acceptance.
Keep account assignment and call features scoped
The current datasheet lists one SIP identity or account and up to two simultaneous calls. Snom separately documents assigning multiple SIP extensions to some M-Series handsets, with all listed extensions active for inbound calls and one selected primary for outbound use. Do not extend that family procedure over the M30 one-account datasheet without exact model, base and firmware evidence.
Test the intended single identity, inbound and outbound caller identity, hold, attended and blind transfer, call waiting, DND, diversion, voicemail indication and 2+1 local conference separately. A menu entry or assigned key is not proof that the PBX, service or handset completed the feature.
Measure battery and radio behavior in the intended shift
The published battery figures are maximum manufacturer values with different narrowband and wideband talk times. Measure the real shift, codec use, signal conditions, call mix, screen and key use, battery age, charger availability and return-to-service time. Define low-battery ownership and replacement criteria before deployment.
The handset datasheet repeats ideal-condition DECT range figures, but coverage belongs to the base placement and site survey. Walk the intended routes while observing association, ringing, answer, handover and both media directions. A charged handset or visible signal bar does not prove a stable call or adequate capacity in the serving cell.
Accept fit, security and lifecycle boundaries
M30 is listed for indoor desktop placement and has no rugged, ingress-protection, alarm, Bluetooth or headset-jack claim in the reviewed support table. Select another exact model when those are requirements rather than inferring them from the wider M-Series. Validate the actual keypad, display, hearing-aid use, speakerphone, directory, cleaning routine and charger placement with representative users.
Base-to-handset authentication or encryption, SIP TLS and SRTP on the base-facing path, PBX authorization and emergency routing are different controls. Confirm each on the installed combination and preserve the firmware and rollback record. No M30, battery, charger, base, radio survey, PBX, account, firmware, directory, protection control, availability, compatibility, price, emergency route, audio path or live call was inspected or tested for this reference.
Follow a failed M30 walk through the base system
For an M30 used on two M400 bases, the M400 roaming diagnostic traces the serving base, synchronization source, DECT handover, registration replacement and both media directions without assigning a base-system fault to the handset automatically.
